From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
She vs. Her III

The last lie she told me
Was it's us against the world
Then mine she turned inside out
We went to war
And she became a deserter
Showing true colors

I became a prisoner of hate
And finally gave up the idea to escape
My heart now consumed
Since we know what misery loves
I decided not to suffer alone
And enlisted a few other soldiers

A few years later
As I lay licking my wounds
I encountered an undercover protester
Through her words, through her tears
She revealed her fear
Her world without me

I was set in my ways
Until her tear hit my cheek
And revealed to me
In this prison I didn't have a day
Without her by my side
Never this did I realize

Each time I was hurt
It was her helping me heal
Every moment
It was her making me feel
Warming up my cold heart
From the start of my demise

It's her I have to thank
For the rebirth of my heart
Now I can love again
Now I can experience real life
And it's her who's my partner
Call her my wife, my lover, my friend

I'll call her my angel
My Beauty, my pearl
Now smiles continually cross my face
Thanks to Mi Amor, my inspiration
Rejuvenation of my world
Saving me from the depths of hell
