An Exhortation to Obedience
Keep my teaching in your mind,
Not letting your eyes go blind;
Rather keeping in your heart,
Letting not ever depart.
Your years of life will increase,
As you live a life at peace;
Within yourself and others,
Just as sisters and brothers.
Let not good faith and mercy,
Be as a controversy;
Feeling like a ball and chain,
Used by prisoners to train.
Obedience to stop sin,
Is a form of discipline;
While faith gives you the hope,
That is helping you to cope.
So put your hope into God,
While you honor and laud;
And He gives honor to you,
Each day for making it through.
