Directions for Rulers
Make clear to those who rule,
That no one is a fool;
And do as God will need,
As a servant with each deed.
Be gentle in attitude,
Never try to be rude;
No evil ever said,
Neither rumors be spread.
In the past we were cruel,
Something to ridicule;
Hardened heart gone astray,
Turning from the true way.
Pleasures and desires,
Will make servants liars;
For power causes lust,
False idols they will trust.
When our behavior,
Turns towards our Savior;
Then the love shall be seen,
Able to rule serene.
With God that they abide,
Then He will be their guide;
Not by works on their own,
But through God on His throne.
