poems about life
Kids
Every parent is faced with the time to let go
But how to prepare, and when to know
We spend our lives holding them near
And we don't expect the heart aches and tears
But when the time comes way to fast
You can only pray your guidance will last
In your mind you are okay watching them grow
But how do tell your heart its time to let go
You face the truth, and fight it all the way
You cry, you shout, and you desperately pray
Who will help them with their hair
You know you will not show your fear
Homework is a thing of the past
And you miss the time that didn't last
Sweet sixteen, will come and go
And all you can do now is learn to let go
They all grow up and the world they must face
But did you prepare them for this huge scary place
They fail and they succeed, as they go along
And you watch in the shadows hoping they don't go wrong
It is not ever easy to say good-bye
Your heart hurts and your eyes they cry
