 Over priced and over rated

At the end of the year
It's more expensive to drink beer
At the same pub you went too last weekend
With the same crowd and same friend
But it's New Years Eve, so you pay more
And pay a fee at the door
All for one second of the clock
Building up to the big tick tock
"Happy New Year!" everyone cheers
Whilst the emotional teenager cries her tears
Her boyfriends just broken up with her
She cries on the phone in a drunken slur
Strangers kiss and others hug
Others smile and others shrug
Bar stays later for an extra hour or so
Before they tell you all to go
Stumbling back, in the January Morning
As another Year comes a dawning!
