Glory Days
I slowly walked down the little path Where as a young child I would run Look there through the brush and leaves A deer standing still in the sun Back home just to visit my youth When time would stand perfectly still Heroes were there at every turn Just there at the top of the hill It is gone to never return To only exist in my mind Imaginary foes fought each day Then at sunset all left behind Fifty odd years have come and gone Since those great days when I was king They remain burned in my memory Living there till the angels sing (c) by Wayne Snow 2009
