In the race to the finish line no time to waste
Though often we forget others in our haste
So many have died in the struggle to live
That they pushed past others and forgot to give
In the mirror what can you do to make this world better
See a frozen man or woman get them a sweater
Poverty is on a doorstep and friends it is moving your way
For as it moves it could be you at the end of the day
God can't be everywhere so he left us with a chore
For as the economy is failing the pains we cannot ignore
Days ago knew of someone from Millionaire to poverty in a day
And on the way up they pushed aside all in their way
Now they are asking for handout of those pushed aside
Reality is for those once filthy rich no where to hide
For in life's endless circles we all share the ride
