I see on the site poems of gloom and dispair
And then some of love and care
You know those who survive a wonderful world
Those of change an American flag unfurled
Me I have lived a good life avoided major strife
Done what I thought right have a wonderful wife
But I do worry about this world for those younger than I
Those whose home is possessed and wonder why
Some lived beyond means no tear for them do I cry
Those who sit in their ivory towners
Who thought only of themselves the world is ours
I hope for them now to share this gloom and dispair
And may for the first time poverty come to their lair
It won''t you know because they bought out the politicians
For as they cheated this world one of their missions
But on the day we die we come before he our master
And on that day their shame I hope they have a good answer
