MY WAY

MY WAY

A photo of my parents, my brother, and me

She walked into town on this cold night
The city lights blinked their neon smile
Could she erase despair for just a while?
He said she was feisty for a little mite

The wind whipped past her like a string of sighs
The leaves began to shiver on the willow trees
Was it yesterday he had sat her on his knees
Tonight's scenery coalescing with her demise

She remembered the green slopes of laughter
The blue plumes mixed in winter's crystal rain
With everything to give, the whole world to gain
Where were his promises of --- forever after?

je t'adore
and
miss you daddy
