The Lost Sheep
If you had a hundred sheep,
Would you merely go to sleep;
If you knew that one was lost,
Try to find at any cost.
So if one did go away,
In a hostile place to stray;
Would you not go get it back,
For the sheep that you had lack.
What a joy back to the farm,
With the lost sheep in his arm;
And has a celebration,
For all the jubilation.
Friends and neighbors all glad,
Of the lost sheep that you had;
Within a dangerous place,
But was saved through the good grace.
Each of us with a changed heart,
Like the sheep and a new start;
The angels too will rejoice,
Each sinner with a new voice.
So Heaven will always sing,
Each time that the Christ will bring;
Of a sinner to abide,
And having been cleansed inside.
