Assignment of Life
For doing the work of the Lord,
Without pride should not be ignored;
Through all the troubles and the snares,
Although it looks as no one cares.
As I look at all of the signs,
Of this earth with evil designs;
I will not hold anything back,
Since God provides all that I lack.
Teaching both public and private,
My life is an affidavit;
How I have been following Christ,
In ways that I have sacrificed.
A prisoner of the Spirit,
With knowing what I inherit;
But this life means nothing to me,
Without hope on where I will be.
If only at the very end,
Hearing Jesus call me His friend;
Proclaiming that my tasks are done,
And takes me to a new Eden.
So I say to you on this day,
I follow the righteous pathway;
Watching while doing my best,
Until the trumpet ends my quest.
