Tribute To My Brother. . . "Marty"
A big brother, looms large, to a little girl
As being someone to look up to . . .
And as old memories, start to swirl
I am brought to tears, as I think of you
You were a good bit older, than I
Yet, I was wise . . . for all my young years
As I reminisce, over the times that flew by
My memories are a mix, of smiles and tears
I know you are in another rhelm, today
Perhaps with other loved ones, united
Eternal life, with pain and sickness, gone away
I can't help but think. . .You are excited
To know that you will reign with God
In a wonderful place, He has prepared
With loved ones, and saints, you will trod
In a wondrous place, where nothing was spared
I will never forget you my brother
In my heart, you will always stay. . .
You're in a place, better than any other
Yet, I'm saddened, since you've gone away
Today, with such an emptiness inside
We have to say our last farewell. . .
Years of life, washed away like the tide
But, so much about you, left to tell
So, as the sun comes down on this day
And we have laid your body to rest
We give praises "Unto the Lord"
For we trust. . .That He knows best
