Appreciating a Paid Debt
Every person takes their place,
By an altar day after day;
Having a captivating face,
While they are going astray.
Sacrificing time that is spent,
At a computer or TV;
And having all of the intent,
What entertainment they can see.
So they forget about the Lord,
CSI is a better bet;
As God is completely ignored,
And the One that paid our debt.
In offering Himself for us,
For ridding the earth of all sin;
Why do we go about and fuss,
Letting our gratitude begin.
For Christ took the seat on the right,
Next to the Father on His throne;
Where we are always in His sight,
When we are willing to atone.
But as long as we do not pray,
And worshipping the triune God;
We will eventually pay,
In a hot lake for being flawed.
