The Judge of the Earth
Give an ear to me O Heaven,
Hear what I am about to speak;
Make note the words I have given,
And the answers to what they seek.
My teaching is dropping like rain,
Coming down like dew on the land;
As showers caused a growing pain,
For those plants sprouting in the sand.
But I give honor to the name,
Knowing that our Lord is great;
And will continue to proclaim,
No matter how the length to wait.
A God who is faithful and true,
As everyone will soon learn;
With both mercy and vengeance through,
For a judgment upon return.
Many do have the mark of sin,
With a heart that is made of stone;
Cluttered with corruption within,
And way too much pride to atone.
Foolish people are so unwise,
Thinking the Father cannot see;
But God sees through any disguise,
And judging each one by decree.
