If Fear has TearsIf your fears have tears then words can have wings. Be careful and think before you say wicked things, Treat one another as you would like in return, With words of kindness a new love is born. Harmony and sharing be our soul connection, Our eyes the windows of truth's reflection, Our lips the messenger of what we intend, Speak from our soul to our best friend Our face is lighter when carrying a smile, Haste not your journey and ponder awhile, What gift is important to all of mankind, Love is easy to say, but much harder to find, Poetry can describe thoughts and emotion, And put meaning into love and devotion, Taken not from logic, but only the heart, For caring and sharing are seldom apart We're sometimes blind to the magic of touch, That unwritten message that means so much. That tactile sensation can be pleasure or pain, Or subtle and soothing like droplets of rain, A smile is the lantern that lights up your day, Become a child again and learn how to play, Caress your innocence, discarding your fears, Love the child within turning back your years, We are older and wiser but I don't know why, Are we too clever we've forgotten to cry, We cry when we're born , our voices we find We smile when we die, leave the crying behind, Live life like a butterfly drifting in the breeze. Collecting their nectar from the blossom of trees, They enrich their world pollinating anew, Spreading colour and light like we could too, As the sun goes to set and we rest in our bed, Think of the burdens we carry in our head, Let go disappointment, failures and sorrow, Be gifted a new start beginning tomorrow, Time is the essence, to linger in the past, Live for the present before it passes too fast, Life is our journey, it comes from inside, Throw caution to the wind, come along for the ride Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
