So Says The Muse

Shy and sheltered
A victim of life
Afraid to express even
The simplest of emotion

A voice simply muffled
Beneath insecurities blanket
Dying to get out
Yet comfortable in its shelter

Accepting of what came
Be it good or bad
Never giving birth to opinions
Cozy complacency

Balancing the hurt
Like a waitress swaying
Praying glasses on the tray
Simply dont overturn

Pressure back building
Emotions screaming in the end
Words dancing round-a-bout
A verbal dervish

Seeking a swift release
Eager to bleed it out
"Free it within the inks"
So says the muse
