You

We are lying spooned
One arm about your waist
Now I know your body
By touch and smell and taste

You have taken from me
All that bitterness and fears
That have stayed with me
Far too many long years
I have found a love
Of a special kind
That keeps you always in
Warm places of my mind
Whether we will love again
I really don't know
But now in my heart
I know I have to go

You slip from the bed
Giving me the pleasant sight
Of watching you dress
In the late evening light
