Removing the Veil
We do have such a hope,
And keeping nothing back;
While each day we cope,
On the things that we lack.
But some minds are so hard,
As well as with their heart;
Satan plays the trump card,
That let their morals thwart.
He knows that we are weak,
Having deep desires;
Of the things that we seek,
And are lighting fires.
Just like a foggy shroud,
And covered by a veil;
The heart is just too proud,
In letting Satan fail.
But when we turn to God,
He will take it away;
As to honor and laud,
As well as to obey.
So with an unveiled face,
He gives us in a glass;
For a taste of His grace,
Through the gates we will pass.
