It's normal to want,
A gift to feel,
But I can't bare this curse
Of believing some dreams are real
It's a sin to hate
But impossible to fully forgive
There is no middle ground
It's the difference between life or death
We cannot see it all
Yet we strain our eyes so hard
Press our ears to walls,
Try to hear every word
What we cannot control
We pretend we always knew
We're all perfectly ignorant,
Never sure of the truth
We don't realize what we have
Until we blink, and it's gone
And we pray every night
For its speedy return
Then we worry too much
About consequences, the 'what-ifs'
Too apprehensive to pursue,
Not aware of what we could miss
The ride is a quick one,
Don't be afraid to go to new places;
Travel off the beaten path,
See new faces
-Blindfold yourself,
Fall in love with a stranger,
There's no time to waste;
Fear is our only danger
