It's painted all over me;
What I so refuse to see
Every day, a new tattoo,
Spelling out the truth;
Because the needle keeps pricking away,
Pointing out that which I cannot say...
But it's written all over my face...
The words inscribed
Bring it all to life;
The love I had,
Or the hurt you gave back
I'm an open book,
Showing everything but what you took;
My story is written, read at first look
I's are dotted,
T's are crossed,
Chapters labeled,
Moral of the story lost;
I was the paper
And you were the pen
That scratched this sad saga into my skin
