MOM

Mom lived a hard life
Her youth--an orphan
Her faith Christian
The Mormon took her in
and I bless them for that
She never became Mormon
My Father abused her
Life treated her cruelly
Yet she taught us to believe
in Jesus and never gave up the faith
she raised us in her own hardship
We learned to love and care
Sister Jeri is up there with Mom
Both died young but gave
More to this world than they took
I remember the day I found a purse
Times were hard we were poor
Mom said the money was not ours
I was given a dollar reward
From that I learned honesty
On this day bless all mothers
And especially mine in heaven
On the wings of Angels
