Standing Firm in Christian Faith
I say this so that you may not,
Be swayed by a deceitful thought;
Even though Christ is always near,
It is the temptations I fear.
For I know desires you seek,
Always makes your resistance weak;
As Satan stands behind the door,
Ready to tempt with another lure.
Take care you do not sound defeat,
By thoughts that are filled with deceit;
That is just theory or belief,
Of nothing more than worldly grief.
All His wealth is in living form,
And of the light bright and warm;
While evil comes from the dead,
Remaining dark and cold instead.
If rooted and based together,
In having Christ as your Brother;
He can be keeping your faith strong,
So you will not be going wrong.
The teaching that had been given,
For your preparation to Heaven;
Will keep you from committing crimes,
If praising the Lord at all times.
