Subdue Desires
Put to death flesh of this earth,
Filled with dirty things and lust;
Turn towards the Lord for rebirth,
The One to put all your trust.
Many passions with fires,
While worshiping strange gods;
Causing evil desires,
To honor and praise such frauds.
Because the wrath of God comes,
Those who disregard His rules;
Marching to the beat of drums,
For smiting each of the fools.
You were living in the past,
When you were doing such things;
As it makes the suffering last,
From all the strike that it brings.
But today the time is right,
For you to put them away;
And be ready for the light,
No more do you need to stray.
For the Lord does have a plan,
That will be involving you;
In making you a new man,
Riding a fresh avenue.
