Build not on sand your promised land...

Build not on sand your promised land
for the wind will blow it to the sea
and lie laid foundations of every nation
will only crumble when truth is free
we all have to stand tall
stop being resentful
of such wonders just out of reach
the more we're deceitful
to achieve what we reach for
greed be the lesson we teach
why is it so hard to be grateful
more loving… less hateful
reach out to those we can see
instead of lying and cheating
blind rages…  deceiving
to achieve our destiny?
each man is his own tool
and also his own fool
when he repeats the same old mistakes
always we're learning
yet each day left yearning
for the real deal instead of these fakes
its up to us a nation
to build what can be relied on
so when the earth shakes all will be calm
the truth instead of spiteful
be a joy and so delightful…
and the foundation to save us from harm.

A note for our politicians
