Why Mercy and Grace
God is full of mercy,
Through great love that you see;
For it is all around,
Both within sight and sound.
Even when dead in sin,
He gave us life within;
Given with love through Christ,
When He was sacrificed.
By grace through salvation,
For a new foundation;
And rescued from the grave,
Since all sin God forgave.
Through faith because of grace,
We will go to His place;
Not by works we have done,
But in faith in His Son.
For this reason I keep,
Thinking that we are sheep;
A shepherd with His flock,
He stands upon the rock.
Jesus looks far and wide,
As well as our guide;
And will lay down His life,
In the midst of the strife.
