Usually prepare for boredom a school musical
Little Alice and her vocal cords ready to go
But it wasn't like that I have to say
All six graders a guitar could play
Fifth graders showed skill on a flute--toot toot toot!"
There was Beatles--Beethoven a little rock
That each knew his cord was quite a shock
No screaming kids running around quiet as a mouse
Parents sat in awe the performance took down the house
Last was the choir could these kids carry a note
The music teacher announced some kids could not be there
They were playing in baseball playoff and the music teacher did care
She announced, "Let's hope they do well good for the school."
Last year I was impressed with the music teacher what a find.
the kids adore her and she and the Principal are amazing. They
put on a near professional show. Yes, this school is located in
an area of professional parents. Doctors, Lawyers, each kid had
his own guitar, flute, percussion instruments to play. But they
have also worked all year to raise money. When the school decided
to redo the entrance of the school students were chosen to be in
on the planning. Parents were recruited to do the ground work. The kids
created a park like entrance where the old parking had been and
designed the parking areas more convenient. It was kid planning.
Now they look at their school with the pride knowing they made the
decisions on how it would look. How progressive and accolades to
those adults allowing it to happen and future engineers and artists
to learn on the job.
