A FRIEND INDEEDJake comes to visit everyday Big black lab and arthritic It is quite a walk and tail wagging He gets a rub under the chin and a doggy biscuit I said to my wife, "Here comes my friend!" "You fool he comes to use your grass!" And there it was ugly and smelly I take a shovel and throw it over the fence It is a small price to pay for friendship Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
