 Car Warning Lights

My brake lamp light came on recently
Since I was a customer of Grease Monkey
I thought I could trust in what they said
But I was confused with doubts instead

Brake fluid low and pads showing wear
Was there a leak?  Not that I was aware
Final result, have brakes fixed in the shop
Until then, allow plenty of time to stop

I left there driving slow and with caution
Wanting to be safe, taking extra precaution
Two days later, I got it in to my mechanic
They replaced a bulb, simple and automatic

Brake fluid was full and pads were still okay
Recommended I wait and I trust what they say
The lady indicated they took advantage of me
Since I am a woman, not the way it should be

I called Grease Monkey, wanting an explanation
Speaking to the manager, I relayed my situation
I said they failed to even check my brake lights
He offered to pay for the bulb, to make it right

Later, when I paid, the bulb had been thrown in free
Grateful to God for His protection and their honesty
I searched the internet why the brake lamp comes on
Indicates a bulb is out, so Grease Monkey was wrong

Consider for a moment with me about other warnings
Our body needs rest to be refreshed in the morning
Stress can take a toll on our emotions and our mind
When we trust God, His strength and peace we find

God gave us the Bible, as a guide and for Him to seek
One week without studying the Bible, makes one weak
If our Bible is gathering dust while sitting on the shelf
How can we ever experience His blessings for ourselves?

The Bible keeps us from the powers of evil and wrong
When we heed it warnings by following Him all along
Most of all, it provides the only way we can escape Hell
Through faith in Jesus, we will forever with Him dwell
