Praises of the One True LoveIf I make use of tongues of men, Would I be able to know when; The sounding of a long tongue bell, That Satan would ring down in hell. Is it different from the voice, When an angel sings to rejoice; For no matter how we believe, How easy Satan can deceive. It can be the same for love, Knowing that it is from above; That the love we put our trust, And would be not some form of lust. If I were a mighty prophet, Could the love within my spirit; Reveal to me the secret things, That the future from the Lord brings. Rather love that comes through His grace, That will move mountains from their place; Only love from God is the force, That faith strengthens to stay the course. For love gives hope to persevere, As it gives faith to be sincere; Love has joy in all that is true, That God shines favor upon you.
