Persuading Obedience
Pay attention so you will know,
On the direction you should go;
For I teach you of what you ought,
To know from things that I was taught.
So keep my words in mind and heart,
Memorized so you can impart;
Letting yourself never forsake,
For less chance making a mistake.
Listen to all that I convey,
Not to the gossip and hearsay;
For my knowledge will give wisdom,
Preparing you for the Divine Kingdom.
Because what I say comes from God,
And is why you honor and laud;
Never rejecting what He said,
Or swayed by another instead.
Never let the Law be ignored,
That has been given from the Lord;
For if they start to drift away,
That is when you will start to stray.
Continue on the straight and narrow,
And your future has no sorrow;
As long as you do what is right,
You have a ticket to the light.
