The Imperishable Word
You took Christ as your Lord,
Rooted and based in Him;
A faith of one accord,
With love filled to the brim.
Strong in faith as was taught,
At all times giving praise;
For God now has been sought,
Since you have changed your ways.
Take care that no one drives,
You away using force;
As you drift it deprives,
From staying the course.
Much wisdom has deceit,
That goes against belief;
Because most men will cheat,
That would be causing grief.
But in Christ all the wealth,
Of God has living form;
That your spiritual health,
Sparing from the dark storm.
Through baptism you died,
Through Christ you live again;
As long as you abide,
In His Word you remain.
