Avoid Rotten Fruit
The mouth of a man is his fruit,
While his tongue has a firm root;
As it stretches down all the way,
To the stomach and fed each day.
His lips will be in full measure,
And able to bring good pleasure;
If ripened and picked for the ear,
For another person to hear.
But death and life comes from the tongue,
With power from the tip when flung;
The tongue creates so much power,
Able to turn ripe fruit sour.
Some questions have answers that lack,
Because the truth might be held back;
The fruit turns rotten to the core,
While finding out the whole score.
A wealthy man gives a reply,
That later found to be a lie;
His rotten fruit spoils good work,
Turning him into a big jerk.
But God turns bad fruit into good,
Tasting ripened sweet as it should;
If he is feeding on His Word,
The ripest fruit will then be heard.
