Not a Boasting Pride
As to know what it means to fear,
Always having our Lord near;
We do need to persuade others,
To become spiritual brothers.
God already knows what we are,
Our direction insofar;
In knowing our hopes and dreams,
As well as all our extremes.
I would not try to even show,
Qualifications that you should know;
As far as what Christ has given,
For getting you up to Heaven.
But we have opportunity,
For feeling proud that we are free;
From any and all deathly sin,
That can be corrupting within.
This is never boastfully proud,
That you are sounding off so loud;
But the love of Christ to guide,
When you continue to abide.
So if you are a believer,
Then you will be a receiver;
Having been given salvation,
For being a new creation.
