 Julias' Poetry from the Heart

For Michael    ( The King of Pop )

Everyone keeps saying you are better off dead
Those words are driving me crazy
I can't get them out of my head,

I am overcome with grief
At the loss of you from this world,
I have been singing and dancing to your music
Since I was a little girl,

As I became older
My love for your music did not wane,
Your inspirational words and music
Touched me just the same,

You had such strength and courage
To go on in a world so cruel,
You tried to laugh off all their harsh words
As they made you look like a fool,

My friends all think I'm crazy
Because I cry for you,
I know they laugh behind my back
But what else can I do,

You taught me to accept other people
Who don't look like me,
Through your words I was able to open my heart
To see more than my eyes could see,

I know now the colour of our skin
Does not define who we are,
And if we believe in our dreams in our hearts
We to, could all become superstars,

As it was not in your nature to be cold and cruel
You stood by as they all had their say,
Overtime the light went from your eyes
And you sadly turned away,

So to all those people out there
Who say you are better off dead,
I wonder are you the same ones
Who believed everything they read,

Why couldn't the world have treated you kindly?
As you treated so many others,
Well I guess they didn't hear your words, Michael
When you said "You are All My Brothers",
