At Peace with God
We are still very weak,
For earthly things we seek;
We desire so much,
And enticed by its touch.
Being without the strength,
To persevere the length;
Makes it hard to endure,
To be righteous and pure.
Though we believe in Christ,
Why he was sacrificed;
Makes it hard to resist,
Temptations that persist.
But God made clear of love,
That He sends from above;
And faith through salvation,
To confess temptation.
It is in our seed,
Sin is in thought and deed,
So confess when you pray,
Of what you do and say.
We are at peace with God,
When we honor and laud;
And all because of Christ,
Through a faith not enticed.
