IT IS JUST A GAME Today we watch a sad game 7-1 but game ended in time limit Home team scored six runs to tie But rule said if time limit no ties The game regressed to the last inning This great rally and they lost 7-1 I felt so sorry for these boys I felt cheated From the chance to actually lose or win We were unbeaten played the winner They had lost one game and tied anouther. Second inning of the semi-championship Three and two it looked like a strike But the ump called it a ball And inside pitch the batter moved and though he was hit by pitch he created the contact These are twelve year old kids our pitcher was viably upset and lost all his control He wasn't the only one the umpire lost control When we lost we were eager for a rematch. On Sunday it is a one day elimination The team with a tie and a loss played for the championship and two good teams went home It is just a game but I couldn't stay to see who took home the trophy both teams were losers the day before just a game Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
