Prescription for Life
The doctor will write a prescription
When you need to take medication
But there must be a plan in action
In the event you develop a reaction
The Bible is our prescription everyday
When we meditate upon it each day
Yet some people will still try to say
It is not relevant to our lives today
If you are in doubt the Bible is true
Read 2 Timothy 3:16 to reassure you
40 men wrote it down as guided to do
2 Peter 1:19-21 only by the Spirit too
Read Isaiah 41:10 when facing fear
Hebrews 13:5 to know God is near
Jeremiah 33:3 when no one else hears
John 15:15 for a true Friend so dear
Go to Matthew 6:34 when you worry
James 4:13-14 when you are in a hurry
Matthew 11:28 when you are weary
Ephesians 4:32 when hurt and angry
Read Jeremiah 29:11 for God's will
Psalm 46:10 listen to God and be still
Ephesians 5:18-20 to be Spirit filled
Matthew 28:19-20 then go and tell
By knowing the author in your heart
The Spirit reveals truth He imparts
God desires faithfulness on our part
He promises us He will never depart
Joshua 1:8 (NIV)
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from
your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so
that you may be careful to do everything written
in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
