My sky is torn

The sky is now torn… life tainted forever
the wilderness begging my soul
nightmares and daydreams, no respite from failing
all that I am … I don't know?
I once thought my heart… pure and with courage
but I can see the fear in their eyes
how can it be that truth be my leader…
when I am by many… despised?
who can I be if I am not who I thought I was…?
am I really as dark as they say  …?
how can it be so long fighting for justice…
yet I am the one pushed away?
It seems I've become the one thing I hated
I must walk away from all that I know
If I am so dark as to make a man fear me…
then the wilderness shall have my damned soul.

This poem is about losing faith with everything.
