A full,cold,and cruel unsmiling moon
crouches silently over the stillness
of the dark purple mountains
scowling sourly with predatory
silence at the peaceful earth so far
below its timeless domain as it awaits
the wolves mournful hymns of praise
for the haunting, ethereal darkness
of the glorious night.
