In Following Jesus
Anyone who follows Christ,
Then their life is sacrificed;
Allow himself to deny,
Earthly things that multiply.
Only after worldly loss,
Then he can pick up his cross;
As for his life he must choose,
If he saves it he will lose.
Losing your life will then save,
Your life from a darkened grave;
Giving your life will replace,
This life through the saving grace.
Christ will come in all the glory,
As both the judge and jury;
Checking who gets the reward,
And be having life restored.
But for some the lake of fire,
Since first came their desire;
As their life will surely end,
And unable to transcend.
I guarantee this is true,
On the fate that awaits you;
From the Son of man that bleeds,
For your belief and your deeds.
