It was just a few weeks ago
I saw your face
I walked in your hospital room
hugged you, kissed your face
I knew the time would
come when you would be
called for duty
the lord awaited your arrival
another heavenly angel
Forever watching over my son and I
Grandpa you are our Guardian Angel
Grandpa please console me
wrap your arms around me
I just want to hear your voice
tell me this is a dream
not yet reality
Do know that I love you and miss you
I hope your not disappointed
looking down on us who
mourn your loss
Grandpa I can't stop these
tears I cry from falling
I figured I could handle it
be strong, how could I be so
wrong
I've never experienced a loss
like this and DaVeon
is far to young to understand
why his mother cries for your
presence I miss
Grandpa please help me to understand
that the time you spent
was peaceful and serene
The lord has called upon you
his child to watch over us
bless and pray for us
guide and lead us
do right by him as he did by you
Grandpa you are a prime
example that God is real
and his love is true
I'll try my best to cry
no more
to remember the good times
we shared and more.
You'll be with me from here
on out.
