Passion Poem
Who has believed in the Good News?
Then also know my personal views;
Of power that has been revealed,
And for so long had been concealed.
For growing up as a young tree,
In a land as dry as could be;
Where it would root out of the ground,
With no water that could be found.
He had no form or majesty,
No real difference you could see;
With nothing in His appearance,
No attraction for adherence.
He was scorned and jilted by men,
His words snubbed again and again;
He lived to face many sorrows,
But hopes of better tomorrows.
Surely with all His strong beliefs,
Carried our sorrows and griefs;
To be hung with Him on that tree,
As the Father sends His decree.
God loved the world and sent His Son,
Ensuring that a job got done;
And for all willing to believe,
Eternal life that would receive.
