I think of how we suffer,
Nowhere near as much as Christ;
For then things were much tougher,
The time He was sacrificed.
Superficial when compared,
To the glory that will soon;
Be revealed as well as shared,
And given the opportune.
As all will eagerly wait,
For God to lastly reveal;
Just who will go through the gate,
And feasting at the big meal.
Creation had to endure,
Subjected to frustration;
Since it was not really sure,
Causing such contemplation.
But frustration did in hope,
Of also being set free;
From the slavery to cope,
Then given insight to see.
We know all creation groans,
For the Spirit to give birth;
The children with flesh and bones,
To inhabit the new earth.
