A Proper Way to Pray
I encourage you that we share,
Intercessions in our prayer;
Giving thanks for all and the hope,
So together that we can cope.
Pray for rulers of all the lands,
That each one of them understands;
And they may have a quiet life,
Avoiding the trials and strife.
Always live in a godly way,
Living in reverence each day;
For this is good and pleases God,
Praising as you honor and laud.
He wants all people to be saved,
And each one morally behaved;
As everyone learns the true,
Meaning for life to continue.
Our mediator is Christ,
Made human and was sacrificed;
For freeing us from our sin,
And the Spirit to cleanse within.
We should be raising our voice,
As we pray to God and rejoice;
For having fantastic Good News,
And that we are able to choose.
