Why did he leave me, why did he go
The doors been shut to the one who loves him so
He told me he loved me and by my side he would remain
That we'd always be together, We had planned to marry someday
As I looked upon his face one last time
Tears began to fall, Sorrow and grief filled my mind
He was the sweetest person, so gentle and kind
I will always love him in my heart I will find
The pain grew too heavy so I turned to look away
As they closed the casket door underground where he layed
But, he was part of Gods' family
Heaven is now his home as it will be eternally
Glad as I am that he is in a better place
Still I can't get over it, Everywhere I see his face
Why did he leave me, why did he go
God has taken him away from me, Why I'll never know
But, I'm sure God has a reason, It was just his time to go
