The Word of Life
The Word of life was from the start,
And existed right from the heart;
We have seen and have also heard,
In touching it as we observed.
This thing called life was now revealed,
But from our eyes it was sealed;
And now nobody can deny,
As we go out and testify.
We report to you of these things,
What eternal life really brings;
The Father in our presence,
Who brought Christ into existence.
Now it forms a relationship,
A common bond with a firm grip;
In a life we have heard and seen,
That never before even been.
It gave us insight that we see,
Salvation as full as can be;
And completely filled us with joy,
That to all we meet we employ.
It came to our ears and eyes,
Giving wisdom to make us wise;
For the Word of life touched the heart,
Giving a chance for a new start.
