Sweet MaryThe last kiss that I give upon her fragile soft skin, Mother Mary blesses me with holy water to rid me of sin. As I stand at her door, I knew it was to be the last goodbye. For this we know, A far better off place that Sweet Mary will go; To her Heavens, to Grandpa, to the peaceful kingdom in the skies. My memories of Sweet Mary, are her smile w/rosy lips and chocolate brown eyes; To warm the little ones and to rid them of their cries. Her voice even now I can still hear; From the letters and conversations, as I remember the words "God Bless You Dear". I've heard the stories of a farmhouse in Bethel w/five children and of those winter snows. To look at pictures of Mother Mary, there is her faith and guidance, from her a natural glow. A woman whose beauty gave so much meaning to you and me; Proud and divine with sheer elegance, a true lady was she. A forever promise to Lady Mother Mary I keep, On Christmas Eve, the gathering of midnight mass, I bow my head in prayer to her everlasting sleep; And rise to peaceful thoughts of Vermont Christmas's past. No matter how the ugliest of times entered into our lives, Mother Mary kept her faith in us all, so much alive. I'll miss the smell of Estee Lauder, of her rosary and her New England accent. But to know, a far better off place that she did go, Well I am sincerely content. So, when I step outside nightly to sit in my chair, I look above behold I stare . . . From miles a far, tis I know Sweet Mary's star. And she will always be watching from the great big blue, Over me and all of you. Bless you Sweet Mary, for we'll never part. We have the comfort of your ever lasting love in our hearts. By LadyGray Dedication: This is dedicated to Mary Fletcher's Grand Children & Great Grand Children.
