 The Path To Hell

Once Human creatures attempt to outrun
the seeping tide of human kind.

None quite sure, were they even still sane,
or completely out of their mind.

Those with indiscriminate appetites
and wild unpredictable behavior.

Were thoroughly on the lookout for someone
to be their protector, their savior.

Befouling themselves with unspeakable cruelties
things both deprived and disgusting.

Their own mysterious horrific acts
strangely filled them with satisfaction
to the unholy they were truly adjusting.

The garish human tragedies
occurred only mildly contested
The erosion of their humanity
proved something in which they weren't truly invested.

They were proving themselves worthless,inadequate,afflicted.

The virtues they had once possessed , were now fragmented and splintered.
To those that chose wrongly and carelessly,
Were finding it was the path to Hell
That they had just freely entered.
