As My Heart Could Tell

This Happens Almost Everyday

Each time I wake up in the morning chill
I turn and see how kissable you are
But then I hesitated for fear that I might wake you up
I know how much you needed a restful sleep
So I just mesmerize of your lovely face
I guess you know this happens almost everyday

Something in the sky hangin' above the clouds
Little flickers crowding in the night
I try to tire myself by counting them one by one
For I can't be tired when you are by my side
Somehow sleep is nowhere to be found
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

Chorus:
People say they're true when they fall in love
I just wonder if they are just as true as me
For obvious reason I am prone to one's envy
When they see you clinging by my side
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

At one point of this simple life we live
We seem to feel uncertain of where tomorrow brings
We wonder how our children would behave
They're young but we're running out of time
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

More often we're confronted with adversities
And from time to time you see the man in me should cry
Your warm embrace would mend my broken heart
So I recompose myself to fake that I am strong
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

Repeat Chorus:

We always make use every comfort that life would bring
And try my best to sing to you your fav'rite song
I wish you'd still be singing the same song when I'm gone
‘Cause every soul should leave this world at anytime
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

I love to see me in your eyes as you sing along
Our all time fave "If Tomorrow Never Comes"
So while still I can sing to you our fav'rite song
Come closer and cling into my loving arms
I guess you know it happens almost everyday

Repeat Chorus:
Repeat last line to fade .....

My wife and I had just watched in Youtube the audition of Marty Brown's audition in America's Got Talent ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZIIkhcqPUk ) and we really like his choice of song.  It was Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love".  Wify told me that she wishes I could also write a song for her.  I did not promise nor imply that I would but in no time I started to type. The above piece is written for her as she is, indeed, worthy to be penned with a song. This is one piece that I wrote without initially drafting it on a paper.
