A FRIEND By Nate Spears When you look at my dark colored skin you immediately compare me 2 my peers. Lord behold you see my golds. Your next step is to lock your doors. RACISM STEREO TYPES ARE WRONG! All I ask Is you give me a chance. I just might be A FRIEND! PREPARED NOT LUCKY By Nate Spears It's not so much as some people are always lucky, when things always fall in their favor. If you prepare yourself for situations before they actually occur. When those situations actually occur. You may be better prepared to capitalize on those opportunities. Then more things may fall in your favor. You may become one of the lucky ones, and be granted a few more opportunities. Hostile Times By Nate Spears Born into a world of warfare A world of so what A world of I don't care A world of that's tore up I live with nightmares I'll die with soothing thoughts I awake with frustration I sleep with no choice. A hostile environment Shots fired At every direction At times I'm hit Thank god I'm equip Ready for this battle Top of the line gear A strong mind Is my best line of defense This war began before my conception It will end when I'm no longer here. True victory will never be reached Cease fire will never be achieved We learn to fight battles; in these hostile times We learn to enjoy life, Most of the time Every second in this breath of life counts.
